United Kingdom Shipping Policy

POSTAGE:

Our prices include FREE standard UK shipping via courier/ Royal Mail Tracked 48 on all collectibles and non-published items. We charge a flat rate of £1.20 shipping on all orders that include comic books regardless of quantity, with delivery confirmation. For all the above, buyers can expect 2-4 days for delivery of in-stock items from dispatch. 

Once we have dispatched your order you should receive tracking updates from Royal Mail, to the e-mail address and/or contact number entered when your order was placed. 

We do not manually type any addresses for shipping, we directly import these from your orders so please double check the shipping address entered at checkout.


ADDRESS CHANGES:

If you require an address change, we need to action this manually, please e-mail us with the new address and ALL order numbers that require changing.

Adding an address to your bank account or updating an address on your chosen payment method will NOT automatically update this for any orders already placed. Please contact us with the above details to have this changed in plenty time before we dispatch your orders.


PACKAGING AND PROTECTION:

We appreciate our customers, particularly our inbox collectors have specific requirements around the sending of their items. We are happy to work with you in hope of meeting these requirements on prior request. If anything above and beyond the below standard packing is required, this must be communicated to us prior to shipping your order.

We use a range of specific sizes of boxes to package our items for both economical and protective purposes. We use bubble wrap or paper/padding to protect them as best as possible. The only exception to this is where a purchase may be best suited in its original manufacturer casing (i.e. complete cases). Where buyers request a specific style of packaging we will endeavour to include this within our stated price where possible but changes to materials/dimensions/weight etc may come at an additional cost. 

We sadly cannot guarantee handling of your items after leaving us. Parcelforce and Royal Mail will not support any claim from ourselves around superficial damage to the packaging of a collectible i.e. MOC related complaints. Please help us to help you in advance of sending your order if you have specific requirements regarding packing and shipping your items.


POSTAL SERVICES OFFERED:

We use a fully tracked 48 hour Royal Mail service for our parcels, and a delivery confirmed 48 hour Royal Mail service for letters/ comics. If you have any special delivery instructions that need adding to your parcel, please let us know in plenty time ahead of shipping your order. We offer an additional signature required option at checkout for further peace of mind, for where customers often have items passed to neighbours or other household members due to work commitments or any inability to accept delivery themselves.


DISPATCH TIMES:

We endeavour to post all items within 48 business hours of orders being placed, generally sooner; any severe delays to this will be communicated to the e-mail address/contact information provided to us at time of purchase. Please allow additional delivery time over public holidays.


INSURANCE:

Collectible and Non-published items are insured at the standard rate of up to £100 per package. In the rare event that a parcel becomes damaged, undeliverable, or lost this will normally be the maximum we will be able to reimburse upon an approved claim from Royal Mail/ Courier. Buyers are welcome to contact us about purchasing additional insurance. In case of damage to items, please see our Quality Assurance and Mint on Card Policy.


LOSS / DELAY:

If a package tracks as LOST as a result of courier/postal service's behaviour, please contact us immediately so we can more promptly investigate. See Returns and Refunds for more information. In most cases, we will only be able to refund the standard amount of insurance but we are happy to work on a case by case basis where the buyer has purchased additional insurance. Please be aware that specific or unique delivery instructions can and should be communicated to us prior to us shipping.

Our chosen Royal Mail 48 services utilise GPS and barcode scanners. They cannot simply mark an item as ‘delivered,’ the barcode on sent parcels will require a physical scan at your address to mark the parcel delivered. 

Before contacting us with a tracked as delivered item that you do not have in hand, please check with neighbours, any safe places nominated and your local delivery office where this item was delivered to after scanning if your local driver was unavailable to leave a red slip with this information.

We will be unable to offer any reimbursement for the above until a claim has been completed. Claims for ‘delivered’ items cannot be opened by ourselves until 10 working days after the marked delivery date and can take anything up to a further 31 working days to resolve, often with a declined claim if any of the above local checks would have resolved the claim.


UNDELIVERED ITEMS:

If an item is undeliverable due to an address error from the customer, or repeatedly not being available to accept delivery of their item, we will resend the item to the same or an alternative address, however we will only do so on contact with the customer and upon receipt of a further payment for a resend of the item. The preferred resend method and cost attached will be communicated to the buyer before a resend is actioned. If the buyer does not respond to contact attempts, nor contact us within 5 days of an undelivered item, we will cancel the order and credit the purchase minus a £3.70 admin and first place postage charge.


ALTERNATIVE POSTAGE:

We are happy to post items using other methods on request. The buyer is responsible for any additional charges this may incur, but only in addition to the cost of our standard shipping method included in our prices.
