International Shipping Policy 

It is STRONGLY advised that International customers read our International Returns and Refunds policies before ordering, and contact us with their interest before purchase with any concerns or specific requirements.


COSTS:

EU CUSTOMERS: We currently offer a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) service for our EU customers via Parcelforce/GLS. This should eliminate all customs clearance charges and EU VAT/ sales tax for a door-to-door delivery service. 

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS (OUTSIDE THE EU): We have default shipping options for International orders up to 2kg. Heavier orders may require a second shipment, we endeavour to combine costs and packages wherever possible. International buyers are responsible for any fees, duty, taxes or customs that may apply within their resident country. Our items are declared at their correct sale value as legally required.


PRE-ORDERS: 

We ask all International customers to place pre-orders with different ETA’s and orders for in stock items separately, this will reduce the chance of overpaying on shipping as the estimated weight of any pre-ordered items will be added to the total and affect the automated shipping estimate for the order.

We are sadly unable to currently offer a ‘pile of loot’ system. When pre-orders arrive in stock we are unable to hold items for extended periods until the order is complete where the customer has placed different pre-orders in the same order, these will require additional shipments upon arrival. We will hold an item for up to 14 days to allow other pre-orders to come in or allow our customers to add in stock items to their order, but only upon request before shipping.

Where in stock and pre-orders are placed together the buyer will be invoiced for the shipping of any pre-order items as any and all of them arrive to us for processing and shipping, this is in addition to the shipping charged to send their in stock items at time of order. 

At the moment of placing a pre-order either in deposit or full payment the applicable shipping is automatically added to the order and will of course be honoured on arrival of the product and any final balances owed will be adjusted accordingly.

EU CUSTOMERS VAT AND CUSTOMS CLEARANCE: 

Following BREXIT and the UK’s departure from the European Union, we may have to apply a small % to orders and invoices for completing pre-orders. This is for the difference in an EU countries’ local VAT where it is a higher rate than the UK VAT of 20% included in our prices. For EU customers who have a VAT rate of 20% or below we have factored any difference in to maintain the lower costs of your shipping and customs clearance fees paid for in advance by Comics and Cocktails. 

Some EU customs offices may require a customer to ‘authorise’ their order to complete delivery. Please ensure e-mail addresses and contact details including phone number are up to date prior to your order being shipped.


SHIPPING ESTIMATES: 

International customers should purchase confidently and in normal cases the shipping charged will be accurate for the items purchased. Unfortunately, the costs of shipping internationally fluctuate daily and are subject to additional costs based on but not limited to: weight; volumetric weight; actual size/dimensions; destination and value.

For pre-ordered items the weights and dimensions may also change from original specifications we receive, potentially altering shipping costs when they arrive.

In the event the shipping deposit paid at the time of purchase is insufficient to send the order we will naturally contact you and give you the option of purchasing the difference in cost for us to ship the order or cancelling the order (or any affected items from it) at full credit/refund without penalty.

For larger orders our website will only quote up to 2-5kg of product for shipping depending on location, if you cannot place your order as a result, please contact us to get a revised shipping quote.


DELIVERY:

We use standard methods of shipping internationally, using either Parcelforce/ GLS as standard, or an appropriate trackable courier. These may then be passed to a 3rd party/ the receiving country’s local service. We default to the most economical option for the customer depending on a number of factors including location, item value and weight/dimensions.

International buyers are asked to wait 10-15 business days for delivery after shipping depending on country and shipping method, in many cases this can be sooner. Please contact us if your item(s) have not arrived within 21 days, missing item claims need to be submitted to couriers within 30 days of shipping.

We endeavour to post all in-stock items within same week of orders being placed, any severe delays to this will be communicated to the e-mail address/ contact information provided to us at time of purchase. Please allow additional delivery time over weekends and public holidays.


ALTERNATIVE SHIPPING:

We are happy to post items using other methods on request. The buyer is responsible for any additional charges this may incur but only in addition to the cost of our standard shipping method included in our prices.



INSURANCE:

Items are insured at the standard rate of £100 per package. In the event that parcels become lost or damaged as a result of incorrect delivery addresses/ instructions being provided to us this will be the maximum we will be able to reimburse. Buyers are welcome to contact us about purchasing additional insurance. In case of damage to items please see our Quality Assurance and Mint on Card Policies found in the Customer Service section.



PACKAGING: 

We use a range of specific sizes of boxes to package our items for both economical and protective purposes. We use bubble wrap/ paper/ padding to protect them as best as possible. The only exception to this is where a purchase may be best suited in its original manufacturer casing (i.e. complete cases). Buyers are welcome to request a specific style of packaging if they have preference, we will endeavour to include this within our stated price where possible but changes to dimensions/ weight etc may come at an additional cost. Please contact us prior to purchase if specifics are required.


LOSS/DELAY: 

If a package appears to have become lost as a result of courier/ postal service behaviour please contact us immediately so we can more promptly raise a claim. See Returns and Refunds for more information. In most cases we will only be able to refund the amount of insurance but we are happy to work on a case by case basis where the buyer has purchased additional insurance. Please be aware that specific or unique delivery instructions can and should be communicated to us prior to us shipping.
